We think this is an absolute gem – and we also think you will agree when
you see her in the flesh!
The ever popular Newbridge Navigator is a chunky, well built mini
cruiser – bilge keels offering stability, ability to take the ground and
a sedate and confidence inspiring cruising pace.
Best thought of as a really good 2 berth boat with good full length
single sea berths running along the sides of the saloon – with a small V
berth in the bow suitable for kids. The saloon is clean, dry and
welcoming.
“Swatty” must be one of the most attractive examples on the market,
wearing her years extremely well – and hugely benefiting from an almost
new trailer and engine.
The topsides are original white gelcoat - in good shape for her age. The
brown cosmetic colour bands have been recently repainted in gloss yacht
enamel - without doubt an appropriate thing to do in order to enhance
the appearance of this little yacht which it would be difficult to argue
is not a pretty boat.
She is freshly antifouled and ready for the season.
The sails appear to be in good condition.
Oh – and a personal tip – don’t overlook the Meths cooker – the
advantages easily outweigh the disadvantages (in our humble opinion).
We acknowledge freely that "Swatty" is priced at the upper end of what
is currently a slower than usual market - but I am sure viewers will
agree she must represent one of the best small yachts that is currently
available for this sort of asking price.
Buyers will need to budget for mooring lines, fenders and an anchor line
(its always good to have these items bought new anyhow)
As she stands she is ideal for lakes cruising - those with coastal
ambitions might wish to budget for a VHF radio and possibly an updated
depth finder.
