Type: Hunter Horizon 23: 4 Berth GRP Bilge Keel Sailing Cruiser. Built 1994 (Hull 162).

Large self draining cockpit with transom hung wooden rudder with tiller.

Cast Iron bilge keels through bolted to hull. Designed by David Thomas.

LOA 22’ 9” (6.9m) LWL 18’2”, Beam 8’ 6” Draft 3’ 1”, Displacement 1,770kgs

Sails & Rig: Hyde Mainsail with slab reefing. Furling (Plastimo) Self tacking jib (Fitted July ’09). Cruising chute. All sails believed in good condition. Deck stepped alloy mast, Bermudan sloop rig. Control lines back to cockpit.

Mechanicals: Yamaha 5hp 2 stroke outboard, in cockpit well to portside. 12 litre separate fuel tank. Aerogen Wind generator. Sea Toilet in separate compartment.

Trailer: Purpose and professionally built twin axle galvanised road trailer with spare wheel (Built 2004)

The Hunter Horizons are well known for their range of practical and yet elegant sailing yachts. The Horizon 23 is on the borderline of trailer-sailer / small yacht, the superb road trailer really bringing out the versatility of this particular example.

She comfortably sleeps 4, with two large single settee berths either side of the saloon table and a double in the aft cabin (separated form the main cabin by a curtain).

To starboard is the galley, with work counter (with storage larder below), sink and gimbaled single burner portable gas stove.

Opposite the galley to port is the separate heads compartment with sea toilet, hanging locker and wash basin.

Forward of the heads is a fold down chart table and nav area with a basic VHF and GPS.

The headroom in the main saloon is around 5' 9".
